Saw it in the theater yesterday, and because its 'the new spielberg movie' it should've have something cool, good, great, whatever.

I liked the movie, thought it was good. Original, stuff like that. I'm not a very big fan of SF movies, but I didnt mind in this movie, the way they saw the future was cool. (they even replaced dvd's/cd's!)

Spielbergs job was pretty good i guess. Not really exceptional or something. I'm not saying I could've done it better, but i might've made some shots different... or something.

Oh well I think its a good movie, but not good enough to be in my top 10 movies of all time, yeah...

Dont have many complaints, although I think it wouldve been cooler if the movie went more about the precrime moral things. Can you bust someone's *** if they didnt do anything, things like that. OH well you have to have some action in a movie if you dont want people sleeping.

Coincidently, I also went to see 'Minority Report' last night. Weird, eh? But anyway, I also liked it, but didn't think it was anything really special. Mainly, I thought it lacked a lot of ingenuity that the older Spielberg films had. That being said, some of the older directors, the 'Movie Brats' as they are sometimes called, Scorsese, DePalma, Lucas, Coppola, Spielberg, etc. Will they continue to break new ground, or slip farther into their niche? Or is the ground breaking now up to the collective 'us' of filmmaking's future?

i thought spielbergs style in this movie was great! he often started a shot with an extreme beam of light into the lens of the camera. it was a brilliant blend of comic book to real life. i thought that the film was quite complex but shown in its almost weakest form. maybe it was the type of film being used to shoot it, but i definetly think something was lacking.........maybe me?

I've also seen the movie (I think it's a good movie), but one thing is not very clear to me, because I think if Anderton hasn't seen the prediction, he would never be on that place where he will kill the man! So if he never saw the prediction it would never have happened. I'm not the only one who thinks this way, but maybe you guys can clear it up for me: is this a whole in the script or do I see this wrong?

i thought the film was decidely average. only slightly less disappointing than jurassic park 2.

for me the MASSIVE plot flaws int this film (the short story by PKD is far superior BTW):

    1. they have obviously never heard of a LAN/WAN etc.. -- what was all that shifting images around glass displays etc?? looked like a concept from Apple to me -- nice to look at but ultimately pointless.

    2. one of your most trusted agents becomes a fugitive do you:
    a) cancel his access to your facility
    b) still allow him access to the most sensitive parts of your facility, duh!

this film won't be making my DVD collection unless I see it for under a tenner.

I haven't read the short story, but I agree: there are some massive flot flaws in this movie. How is it possible that a major Hollywood project like M.R. contains such errors? Do they really think the audience is so stupid? Or are we just smart?
